May News Letter

Mrs. Doran and Mrs. I's 3 Day 3's

I can't believe I'm writing the May newsletter. We have a few more weeks of school and they will be busy weeks! Our caterpillars are in the chrysalises and should become butterflies over the next two weeks. We have been working on our songs for the Spring Show and we are all ready for the big performance. We will be working on Mother's Day and Father's Day projects and we will host an Alex's Lemonade Stand with lemonade made by the class. We will explain to them that we are going to sell the lemonade to our families to raise money to help children who are sick get better. We will have games for the children to play and they will set up their stands and sell their lemonade around 11:15, before pick-up. Last year our school raised about $900 to donate to this great cause!

Important Dates:

Thursday, May 3rd - Spring Show, Springer Middle School - 7:00 PM (please see attached information)

Friday, May 4th - school closed for Teacher In-service Day

Wednesday, May 9th - Spring pictures - these will be taken outdoors if the weather is nice. There will be no class picture taken and participation is optional.

May 7th - May 11th - Scholastic Book Fair Buy One Get One in the big room

Friday, May 11th - Yellow Day and Alex's Lemonade Stand 11:15 in the parking lot by the preschool entrance

Monday, May 21st - Our last day of class

Wednesday, May 23rd - Our class picnic (we are still working on the details and more information will follow)

Tuesday, May 29th- First week of summer camp

Tuesday, June 5th - Second week of summer camp

We would like to thank you for sharing your children with us. We have had such a great year working with them and we hope that they had as much fun as we did.
