February News
Another month has flown by and we are into February already. The children had such a great time working on their Art Fair projects and were proud to have them displayed last Friday night. Thank you to all the families that attended ~ it was a great event!
February is going to be a busy and fun month in our class. We will work on the letters Oo, Pp, Qq ,Rr and Ss. We will work on writing our last names and learning our phone numbers. Themes this month will be:
Valentine's Day: We will make Valentines, have a post office and share and make some Valentine crafts.
Abraham Lincoln: We will learn about "Honest Abe", build with Lincoln Logs and make a log cabin craft
George Washington: We will read about George cutting down the cherry trees and will make Cherry crumble.
Dental Health: We will learn about taking care of our teeth and set up a dental office in our dramatic play area.
Grab your pencils and make note of our February dates:
Wednesday, February 8th ~ Pancake & Pajama Day. Wear your PJ's to school and we will make pancakes for snack-yum
Monday, February 13th~Valentine's Day Party (sign-up sheet is by morning message board)
Friday, February 17th~Closed (Teacher In-service)
Monday, February 20th~Closed (President's Day)
