Hours
* Morning classes: 9:00 a.m. - Noon.
* Lunch Bunch: Noon - 1:15 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
* Special Programs (for example, soccer, Karate): Noon - 1:15 p.m. Fridays.
Field trips
Our curriculum is supplemented by periodic in-house and outside field trips, such as the Brandywine Traveling Zoo, Play on Music, Delaware Nature Society, and Ramsey's Farm. Transportation for the outside trips is provided by parent drivers. An annual fee paid at the beginning of the school year covers the cost of these programs.
Special Programs
In addition to regular classroom activities, students attend music/creative movement and physical education classes. Classes also attend chapel bi-monthly, and winter holiday shows are also performed. We also offer classes presented by outside providers, such as soccer, Spanish, yoga, karate, and dance. These classes are offered once a week and run in a 10 or 12 - week session. A separate fee is assessed for these programs.
Nut-Free
Because of the increased incidents of peanut and tree-nut allergies in young children, Concordia Preschool is a peanut and tree-nut free zone! Lunches and classroom treats must be nut-free. Birthday Celebrations
Concordia is excited to celebrate your child’s birthday! Please coordinate a date with your teacher to mark this special occasion. Should you choose to send in a snack treat for the class, we ask that you follow these guidelines - BIRTHDAY TREATS LIST. As we strive to maintain a nut-free environment, we thank you for your support and cooperation.
Financial Information
Concordia Preschool operates under the auspices of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, thereby sharing its status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. An advisory board consisting of volunteer representatives from each preschool class, as well as the director and church representatives, oversee the school. We offer a 10% discount for siblings enrolled concurrently. This discount applies to the tuition of the second child. We also offer a 5% discount for a full year's tuition payment made by the beginning of the school year.
Registration
A non-refundable $60 fee must accompany the application. Registration occurs in early January for returning families and mid-January for new families. If a new registrant is placed on the waiting list, there is no additional fee. To hold your class spot, the next year's May tuition payment is due by May 1 of the current school year. Friday After-School Special Programs for Winter/Spring 2024
Concordia Preschool offers Friday afternoon specials for children in our 3 and 4 year old classes. The choices this session are Soccer, Dance, Yoga, and Karate. It will be a 12 week session. The fees for all specials are $216 which includes a prorated lunch bunch fee. (REGISTRATION FORM)
